Leather Revive EXPERT LINE is a specialised fat-and-water based emulsion designed to deeply soften old, dry and tough leather. The components that make up Leather Revive, when penetrating the skin, distribute themselves between the fibres, separating them and increasing their slippage against each other, which results in a significant increase in the plasticity, softness and durability of the skin.

LeTech Leather Revive EXPERT LINE Leather Softener, is formulated to meet the modern requirements of greasing and conditioning in the leather industry.

LeTech Leather Revive EXPERT LINE is designed to resist UV radiation, high and low temperatures, alkalis, acids and other aggressive substances.

LeTech Leather Revive Leather Softener can be used as a stand-alone product for leather softening, also during the leather restoration process, before the application of repair compounds or leather staining. Leather Revive is ideal for old and hardened leather and is an ideal product for restoring classic cars and antique leather goods.

 

Leather Revive EXPERT LINE softener is ideal for leathers such as

– Automotive leather

SURFACE PREPARATION

 

The process of softening leathers has several important steps which must be carefully followed in order to obtain a good result.

 

The surface to be softened must be thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt and foreign matter, using a professional Leather Ultimate Cleaner.

In the case of heavy soiling and grease stains in the leather, the dirt and grease must first be removed using Leather Degreaser.

 

If you want to effectively soften a Dyed leather type or Semi-Aniline leather type, which includes almost all automotive leathers, we recommend first removing the loose old finish with a Special Solvent Cleaner or Leather Prep Leather Degreaser.

Once the leather is thoroughly cleaned and prepared, leather softener can be applied.

 

LEATHER REVIVE APPLICATION

 

Leather revive leather softener is used during the leather renewal process, when all or part of the old, worn-out finish is removed, or when the leather is primarily absorbent and is capable of taking up fatiguing oils and components efficiently. This considerably increases the absorbency of the leather itself and maximises the effectiveness of Leather Revive Leather Softener.

 

  1. apply Leather Revive Leather Softener generously and evenly to the skin and start kneading the skin thoroughly over the entire surface. It is important to knead and massage the leather, as this helps to achieve a deeper and more even distribution of the ingredients in the leather structure.

 

  1. For maximum effect, apply the product once again in a thin layer on the skin and cover with cling film. Allow it to dry for a few hours, or leave it on overnight for best results. The product will further absorb into the skin, softening it.

 

  1. Using a damp and clean cloth soak excess product from the surface of the skin. Then wipe with a dry terry towel to completely remove any residue.

 

  1. In case of insufficient softening, repeat the procedure, paying special attention to kneading the skin.

Dry each coat thoroughly with a hairdryer. After mixing Leather Primer with Cross Linker X, the mixture is ready for use within 3 hours. It is best to paint the surface almost immediately after applying Leather Primer.

TOOL CLEANING

After all coatings have been applied, rinse the tools used with water and if necessary, use LeTech Leather Prep paint thinner.
