The application of Edge Paint, makes it possible to shape a beautiful edges and considerably simplifies and speeds up the finishing process.

LeTech’s Edge Finish  is a water-based paint and is designed specifically for leather edges. With just one application you can easily and quick achieve a perfect edge on leather.

LeTech’s Edge Finish retains edges appearance, shape and colour without causing tackiness ( high temperatures) or without cracking ( low temperatures). After drying, the paint also has a pleasing semi-matt finish, similar to leather on the world’s best-known premium brands of handbags, purses and clutches.

This is the ideal product if you want to restore leather and give a unique final touch but it’s also perfect to repair and restore different types of leather, such as:

Storage conditions: Store in tightly closed containers and in dry, ventilated rooms free from direct sunlight.

The process of repairing and dyeing edge leather consists of several important steps which must be followed carefully in order to achieve a quality result.

If you are working with new leathers made of chrome or vegetable tanned leather, it is advisable to prepare the leather edge before colouring to give it the best result. This will give your product a neat, finished look and will look professional.

To do this you must cut the edges of the leather and give them a semicircle or rectangular shape with an edge beveller. Then apply a thin coat of paint to the bevelled edge of the leather with a special spatula applicator or you can use an edge finish applicator pen.

Allow the first coat of paint to dry for 10-20 minutes and apply another coat to form the correct droplet shape of the cut. After the final coat, leave the product to dry for 12 hours during which time the paint completely cures and you can start using the product without any restrictions.

If you are refurbishing a worn leather trim, before applying a new leather edge paint, you must first remove the old cracked leather edge and apply a new leather edge using our Edge Paints as described above.

Edge Paints, have an optimum consistency and are easily applied to the prepared leather trim. By mixing them, any colour and shade may be obtained. Thanks to the high hiding power of Edge Paint, already after the first application, the desired colour tone is formed. Edge Paint has excellent cohesion ability, and when the second and following coats are applied, they will form a strong bond to the leather in good shape and height, without loosening.
